Thing #8 - Jing

The Jing program was easy to create a screencast with. I made a quick one showing my students how to get onto our classroom website. The biggest challenge was understanding how to put the screencast in a place where it could be embeded onto my blog. Click on the link below to check it out. This will be great for students to demonstrate to other students how to perform certain functions on the computer. It is great for visual learners who don't get enough out of having verbal instructions.

  1. Don't you just love this! I've used it for "how to" things in the library. It has been a huge timesaver for me and I'm sure you will find the same thing for you in the classroom.

  2. I do love this program and I love the fact I can use it on the macintosh or the pc allowing me the flexibility to do it from my classroom or my home computer. There are so many things I feel I repeat on numerous occasions and now I can just make a screencast and let the students view it whenever they need to. They can make them for their classmates as well. I am pumped about this device.
